The Piece Hall has added another huge summer night to its 2027 programme — and this one is an unapologetic blast of classic pop.

Bananarama will headline the historic Halifax courtyard on Sunday 18 July 2027, joined by Tony Hadley and Altered Images. For anyone whose record collection still has a healthy dose of 1980s pop in it, that's a seriously strong Yorkshire summer bill.

Three names, a lot of pop history

Bananarama's catalogue includes some of the era's most recognisable pop records, while former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley brings another formidable run of 1980s favourites to the bill. Altered Images complete the line-up, giving the night a proper multi-act retro feel rather than simply a one-name nostalgia show.

The show takes place at The Piece Hall, Halifax, on Sunday 18 July 2027. Doors are scheduled for 6pm, with the event expected to finish around 10.30pm.

Tickets: the important bit

Club 1779 presale opens at 10am on Wednesday 7 October, with general sale following at 10am on Friday 9 October. As ever with the bigger Piece Hall summer shows, Monkey's advice is not to assume you'll be able to casually wander back to the ticket page weeks later.

Another reason to watch The Piece Hall's 2027 season

The Piece Hall has become one of the defining outdoor music venues in our part of Yorkshire. For Huddersfield and Kirklees gig-goers it is close enough to feel local, but the calibre of acts means its summer programme increasingly sits alongside the country's major destination concert series.

This latest announcement also gives Monkey another excuse to keep a close eye on the developing 2027 Halifax season. We'll be following the line-up as more dates are confirmed.

Monkey Supporter Spotlight: Big Noise at Foresters Hotel

And while we're talking big tunes, don't forget the grassroots end of the local scene. Monkey GigsList supporter venue Foresters Hotel in Crosland Moor has Big Noise playing this Sunday, 11 October, at 6.30pm.

Supporting the pubs and clubs that put live music on week after week is exactly what keeps our local scene moving — so if you're looking for something much closer to home this weekend, give our supporter venues some love.
