If you like your live music big-hearted, loud, proudly Yorkshire and built around the idea that the audience should be part of the night rather than simply watch it, Tuesday in Huddersfield has your name on it.

Hope & Social head to The Parish on Tuesday 29 September, bringing their famously communal live show to Queen Street. The gig is listed for 7.30pm, with tickets currently advertised from £19.80.

A Yorkshire band that does things differently

Hope & Social describe themselves as a “people band”, and that is more than a slogan. Their own press material points to six albums, thousands of gigs, appearances at Glastonbury and Leeds Arena, and a long history of inviting people to sing, play and become part of their projects.

Their story has particularly deep Yorkshire roots. For the 2014 Yorkshire Festival they took their Tour of Infinite Possibility around the Grand Départ route, travelling more than 200 miles, performing three gigs a day and building a Band Anyone Can Join with singers, brass bands, schools and community groups along the way.

Huddersfield gets the blue-jacket treatment

Now that energy lands at The Parish. The venue’s current listings confirm Hope & Social for Tuesday 29 September, making this one of the standout Huddersfield gigs in the final days of the month.

The band's own description of its shows promises heart-on-the-sleeve performances, while its press page highlights praise for an anthemic, uplifting sound. That combination — proper songs, a sense of occasion and an audience encouraged to get involved — feels made for a room like The Parish.

A strong week for Huddersfield live music

It also kicks off a lively run locally. The Lemonheads with Willy Mason are listed in Huddersfield on Wednesday 30 September, while October quickly brings more music across the town and surrounding area. Monkey will keep picking out the gigs worth knowing about rather than simply repeating a diary.

Get down and support live music

Hope & Social play The Parish, Huddersfield, on Tuesday 29 September 2026. The advertised start time is 7.30pm. Check the venue or ticket seller for the latest ticket availability before travelling.
